This weekend in sumner Washington WWVBMX had 30 riders we took home 20 state plates. We had 1 girl race the girl pro am race took 5th . We had a few kids get state #1 plates . Last nights races were great 11 motos 36 kids on a tuesday night. The 16x class made races interesting. First round they stopped on the double in the 2nd staight drank down a bawles engery drink before they could keep going. State finals for Washington State finals are in Sumner Washington September 7th, 8th, 9th. Alot of Walla Walla kids will be there. Good luck to everyone. Last weekend there were state qualifier races at Sea Tac and Baker view great job the the Walla Walla kids who went. The 16 to 17 year old boys make races fun in walla walla. They stop at corners and carry there bikes. They also road there bikes backwards. It was fun to watch. We also had a great weekend for our state weekend. alot of fun Sunday 7-15-07 we had 175 riders 40 motos. thanks to everyone who came out to watch and race. check out some of the pics.

Local Walla walla 7yr old girl went to Salt Lake city( BMX) nationals June 29th -July 1st.Friday night took 2nd out of 8 girls Saturday she took 1st out of 10 girls and sunday took 3rd out of 10 girls. Before we know it, it will be time for fall practice for area sports teams. For the first time in recent memory, most local schools (including Wa-Hi) will start with a game in August. The Walla Walla Figure Skating Club is housed at the YWCA Ice Chalet. We have over 25 members. We are a member of United States Figure Skating. We have beginning skaters to seasoned competitors. Our club has members who are in grade school to adults. Walla Walla Rodeo Club qualified 3 members to the National Finals in Springfield, Illinois and 1 member to the Silver State International Rodeo in Fallon, Nevada. Courtney Frazier had a terrific weekend in Ellensburg and brought home the State Championship saddle in the pole bending and also finished in the top four in barrel racing and cutting. A top ten finish in the breakaway, team roping, and goat tying also helped her to win the Reserve All- Around title.

The four members of the Walla Walla Rodeo Club will be competing at the State Finals in Ellensburg this weekend. The top four state finishers will qualify for the National Finals in Springfield, Illinois held July 23-29. 5th thru 10th place will head to Fallon, Nevada for the Silver State International Rodeo. You'll notice there is a new Groups box on the left. I created a couple of groups: BMX and Little League Baseball. Now any member can create their own group within the Sport Sheet and invite people, start separate discussions, and post photos and video just like on the main site. The groups will be visible to everyone but you can only take part by joining the group. Team McCauley has just returned from competition at the Junior and Senior National/World Qualifiers, in Pleasanton, CA April 27-28, 2007.
Out of six competitors Washington State left their mark by bringing home 9 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 4 bronze medals.

Well we officially launched yesterday and we have a few new members. Some photos have also been posted. I know that it will take an ongoing promotional and word-of-mouth effort to get more people to the site and to start contributing. I'm hoping to make it out on weekends to the various sporting and recreational events around town to get the word out. Also, I'm hoping to get some fliers out or some posters and or stickers.
